The Conrinthian Sailing Club was founded and is dedicated to the highest level of conduct both on and off the water while instilling an interest in sailing with the spirit of Corinthian Sportsmanship and to encourage the growth of the sport of sailing by pursuing activities that help transfer the knowledge and experience from one sailor to another.
The Corinthian intends to address the needs of the occasional weekend amateur sailor by organizing small local fun and instructional sailing events.
The Club has no permanent mooring facilities or a building at this time but several options are under consideration.
The Corinthian has scheduled and will hold a Leukemia-Lymphoma Benefit Regatta in Bemus Bay with headquarters adjacent to the Italian Fisherman. The event will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2009. All funds will be handled by and distributed by the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. |
